Abstract:  The Athletic Media Services office, part of Northwestern University's Athletics and Recreation Department, is responsible for preparing publicity and informational materials about Northwestern University's inter-collegiate sports teams. The Records of the Department of Athletic Media Services span the years 1871 to 2002, with the bulk of the materials dating from the 1950s through the 1990s. Each sport's season will have folders containing programs, statistics, and press releases, as well as other information generated during the season (such as box scores, recruiting records, rosters, and miscellaneous material).
