Biography
The Northwestern Engineer served as a forum for the publication of articles on scientific developments in engineering, and of articles and reports of broad professional interest and of concern to Northwestern University engineering alumni and students. Published by the students of the Northwestern Technological Institute, the Northwestern Engineer appeared quarterly between 1942 and 1982. The magazine ceased publication when, due to financial constraints, the Technological Institute was forced to suspend its annual operating subsidy.

The records of Northwestern Engineer (a quarterly published by students at Northwestern University's Technological Institute) fill one box. The records span the period 1942-1982 although the bulk date from the 1960s. Included are scattered runs of correspondence, memoranda, minutes of the magazine's Editorial Board and Board of Control, budgets and financial records, and related materials.
