Scope and Contents
These records comprise 1.6 cubic feet. They consist of administrative subject files from the office of the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education. They document relations between the Office and participating hospitals, Medical School departments, and local and national medical agencies. Of particular interest are the certificate requests, which document the individuals involved in the residency training program. The residents and fellows certificate requests record requests for certificates supplied upon completion of training.

Abstract
These records consist of administrative subject files from the office of Northwestern University's Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education. They document relations between the Office and participating hospitals, Medical School departments, and local and national medical agencies.
Arrangement
The records of Northwestern University's Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education are organized into: departments (arranged by name and date); residents and fellows certificate requests (arranged by year of request, and alphabetically within folders); minutes; and alphabetically-arranged topical folders.
Method of Acquisition
The bulk of the records were transferred to the Northwestern University Archives in November of 1985, as accession #85-265, by the Office of Graduate Medical Education. Approximately .3 cubic feet were separated from accession #86-90, received from the Office of Graduate Medical Education in January of 1986.
Separated Materials
1.75 cubic feet of financial records have been separated and accessioned (#86-118).
