Scope and Content
The series consists of one and one-half boxes of war service records for regularly and nominally-enrolled Northwestern students who served in the military or trained for military duty during the time of World War I.
The records, in card format, are differentiated by the color. Blue cards typically note the following: name of student; permanent address; graduating class; information on military service. Occasionally, the student's birth date, date of admission to the University, and name of parent or guardian also are noted. Tan cards record name and the information that the individual took Student Army Training Corps instruction at Northwestern.
