Scope and Contents
This series is comprised of the General Files maintained by Joe W. Miller, Dean of Special Events, which span the period from 1943 to 1976, although the bulk of the records emanated from the latter part of 1960's and early 1970's. The original order of the records as maintained by Mr. Miller has been retained. The records are arranged according to three broad categories: General Subject Files, Schools, Departments and Buildings and Student Activities and Organizations.

Abstract

The records are arranged according to three broad categories: General Subject Files, Schools, Departments and Buildings and Student Activities and Organizations.
Arrangement Note
The first two categories are arranged alphabetically by subject and chronologically within each folder. The last category, Student Activities and Organizations, is subdivided into a general subject section, also arranged alphabetically and chronological within folders and a section on Special Events and Attractions, which includes a subject file and an individual events section arranged chronologically by event.
Method of Acquisition
These records were transferred to the University Archives on August 3, 1976 by Thomas Roland, Director of Special Events and Associate Professor of Theater.
Separated Materials
One folder of materials relating to the WAA-MU show was transferred to Series 52/1. One and a half boxes of payroll invoices and time sheets and requisitions found in the records were discarded.
