Claude Barnett Research Collection, ca. 1950-1970
Consists of newsclippings, photographs, and newsletters pertaining to African affairs during the 1950s and 1960s. The collection was assembled by Claude Barnett, director of the Associated Negro Press, a wire organization serving black American newspapers, and the World News Service, which provided similar service to African newspapers from 1960 until 1963.

Harvey Breit, poet, playwright, and interviewer, was a reviewer for the New York Times Book Review from 1940-1965. This collection consists of more than 225 pages of correspondence sent to Breit during this period by more than fifty authors and public figures.

Dorothy Brett Collection, Span Dates, 1922-1969 , Bulk Dates: 1922-1948 , 1965-1969
Artist Dorothy Brett, a member of the Bloomsbury group, was a friend of Katherine Mansfield, John Middleton Murry, and Frieda and D.H. Lawrence. This collection includes typescripts for her autobiography, a continuation of her memoirs on D.H. Lawrence, and some of her correspondence to John Middleton Murry about the Lawrences. Brett's diaries recounting her visits to Taos, New Mexico (1924), and Capri (1926); a copy of her manuscript on her friendship with Katherine Mansfield; and an interview and correspondence with Leland H. Roloff (1965-1969) are also part of the collection.
