Scope and Contents
This series of Medical School student records fills thirty-five boxes and spans the years from 1942 through 1969.
Each student is represented by at least two documents: an application for admission to the school and a Medical School cumulative grade records card or transcript. The application includes a photograph (up to 1980), parental name(s) and address(es), names and addresses of personal references, past educational history, and other biographical data. The grade record card or transcript provides grades received for all Medical School courses, notes the hospital in which the student interned, and also notes the date on which the student received the M.D. degree. A personal statement regarding why the applicant wishes to attend the Medical School is included in the reocrds dating after 1970. Some students' records also include transcripts from coursework at other institutions as well as correspondence from the most part relating to Medical School enrollment.

Abstract
This series of Medical School student records fills sixteen boxes and spans the years from 1942 through 1984.
Arrangement Note
The records, inclusive of all M.D. degree recipients from the graduating classes of 1942-1984, are arranged chronologically. Records dating from 1942-1969 are broken into time periods (1942-1945, 1946-1950, 1951-1954, 1955-1959, 1960-1964, 1965-1969); those from 1970-1984 are arranged by year. Within each of these time period or year, individual student records are arranged alphabetically according to student surname.
Method of Acquisition
Jack Snarr, Associate Dean, Medical School Student Administration, transferred these records to the University Archives on April 2, 1985 (Accession #85-62). The addition was transferred to the University Archives by Jack Snarr, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Medical School, on October 8, 1990 (Accession #90-157).
Separated Materials
One archival box of Physical Therapy Program student records was transferred from the addition to series 18/2/7. One archival box of Medical Technology Program student records was transferred from the addition to series 18/2/6.
