Most if not all of the reports were produced for field courses sponsored jointly by Northwestern University's Department of Geography and the geography departments at Syracuse University or the University of Illinois. Abstract

This series fills two boxes and is comprised of Northwestern University Geography Department research reports and special publications. Authored mainly by Northwestern faculty and graduate students, the research reports and special publications date between 1964 and 1971. Many were completed under contract to the Office of Naval Research, Geography Branch and the Geographic Applications Program of the U.S. Geological Survey.
