CommFest 2018 was a festival hosted by Northwestern University’s School of Communication from April 20-21, 2018 that included workshops, learning events, and performance group reunions, and culminated in a gala titled, “A Starry Night.” The gala was hosted by Stephen Colbert and included performances by many notable School of Communication alumni, including Heather Headley, Richard Kind, and Brian d’Arcy James. The series of events were designed to help fund the addition of a graduate acting program in the School of Communication and a downtown Chicago space to house the program.
