A large ivory tusk weighing over 200 lbs, from Kilimanjoro S.E. Africa
Contains numerous silver prints (all captioned), autographs, press clippings, watercolors, postcards and maps. Several pages include what appear to be clippings of signatures from letters, including one of Hesketh Bell, the governor of Uganda. Note that although the photographs are all captioned, the captions are not listed in the original inventory of the Winterton Collection.

Zanzibar and Uganda, Circa 1890s-1930s
An album of postcards, mostly from Zanzibar and Uganda, with a few from Kenya and Ethiopia. Includes images of the Sultan of Zanzibar, Zanzibar, and Ugandan royalty from the first decade of 1900. Many of the postcards from Kenya include trains and railways, published by the East African Railways and Harbours Administration, later the East African Railways Corporation.
