0. B. Davy, Jr., graduated from Northwestern in 1944 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from the Dental School with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1945. He served in the navy for a short time just after World War II. He married Jean F. Bush (Northwestern - CAS 1944) on April 12, 1946, at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago.

The financial records (1924-1939) of the dental offices in Evanston shared by O. B. Davy, Sr., and R. R. Davy give a good picture of the materials and services purchased and of the contemporary costs. The records vary considerably from year to year in their completeness.
