Marion Bard Corbett music manuscripts and papers
The Marion Bard Corbet music manuscripts consist of all known musical works of the late Marion Bard Corbett (1915-1972), a Northwestern University alumna and Chicago-area composer. Included in this collection are music manuscripts, copies and published music scores, sketches, drafts, notebooks and other papers by Corbett.

Language of Materials
The collection is arranged into two series. The first series: Music manuscripts and scores contains eight sub-series arranged primrarily by instrumentation or ensemble type then alphabetically by title with the following sub-series: Orchestral Music, Chamber Music, Piano Solo, Piano Duet and Piano 4-hands, Choral Music, Songs. Two additional sub-series, one for Sketches, Drafts and Incomplete Works; and another for a box of music for which the original order has been maintained complete the first series.
The second series: Notes, programs, audio recordings and other papers is arranged by descriptive folder title and contains the aforementioned papers and audio recordings in addition to some published sheet music not composed by Marion Bard Corbett.

Part of Music Library Special Collections. Acquired and catalogued on or before July 23, 1975.
An inventory presumably completed by Music Library staff was completed on July 23, 1975. Several omissions and errors were discovered and the collection was fully inventoried and processed by Alan Akers in autum of 2018.
