An album containing photographs of some considerable quality, perhaps the work of one of the professional Italian photographers at Asmara. Includes some 130 ethnic studies, many of them close-up portraits. The other photographs are mostly wildlife studies and topographical views of both town and country.

1 album (1 album, 144 p., 32 x 24 cm. + 1 envelope of 5 loose photographs) : Oblong quarto (24 x 32 cm.), containing 260 professionally taken silver prints, each approximately 16 x 12 cm., mounted two to a page, each image captioned in English, in white ink; in excellent condition; contemporary padded paper boards, ‘Fondazione dell’ Impero IX Maggio Anno XIV’ [1936] blocked in gilt on the upper cover, also the initials ‘A.O.I.’ [Africa Orientale Italiana]; extremities of covers rubbed.
