Octavo (22 x 17 cm.), containing 42 platinum prints, mostly 12 x 16 cm., plus four silver prints loosely inserted; original green cloth boards, title blocked in black on the upper cover; extremities rubbed.

Biographical Notes
The compiler / photographer, F. J. H. Erich Schirmer, was evidently an officer in the German Army, probably the 12th company of the Schutztruppe, based in Mahenge, Njrogoro.
