Scope and Contents
The Humphrey Winterton Collection of East African photographs is comprised of about 6,500 photographs organized in 75 primary collections of separate albums, scrapbooks or loose collections. Primary collections range from a single photograph to a set of several photograph albums plus envelopes of loose photographs.

Historic Notes
An unusual album recording mission life, schools and pupils; possibly compiled by a missionary with the Africa Inland Mission or A.I.M. Many of the photographs depict the Kijabe Mission Station in Kenya, including conference photographs from 1915-1917. Included are three interesting images of a train accident on the Uganda Railway.

1 album (1 album, 25 p., 24 x 32 cm.) : Oblong quarto (24 x 32 cm.), containing 134 silver prints snapshots, of various dimensions, together with a few postcards of East Africa, mostly captioned but some of the captions have faded; grey paper covers, a little worn at the spine.
