From the Collection:

The Humphrey Winterton Collection of East African photographs is comprised of about 6,500 photographs organized in 75 primary collections of separate albums, scrapbooks or loose collections. Primary collections range from a single photograph to a set of several photograph albums plus envelopes of loose photographs.

Abstract

Group of 7 original photographs of undetermined origin. Several of the photographs are labeled in pencil on the back, identifed as Mombasa or Zanzibar. Based on the clothing worn by Europeans in the photos, they were taken in the late 1890s or early 1900s.
