Page 24
Scope and Contents
Most photographs are mounted one to a page, but some pages have as many as 3 photographs. All are uncaptioned. The photographs include a variety of African people, mostly wearing the headdresses or caps worn by people identified as Karamojong or Didinga in Volume II, landscapes, and buildings. The photographs of buildings show the exterior and interior views of European-style houses, built with brick walls and thatched roofs. Several photographs show what appear to be military quarters, with several of the buildings clustered together and joined by neat paths.
