Scope and Contents
These additions consist of English departmental files on individual doctoral degree recipients from 1965 through 1979. The files fill eighteen boxes and are arranged alphabetically according to student surname. Typically found in each of the files are: transcripts, applications to degree candidacy, applications for fellowships and teaching assistantships, dissertation prospectuses, examination questions and books, letters of recommendation, departmental information sheets (including examination dates and results), and related correspondence.

Conditions Governing Access
These additions may be used only with the written permission of the English Department chair or delegate until October 10, 2013. Thereafter access is granted only through permission of the University Archivist.
