A Report to the Institute of Inter—American Affairs of the International Cooperation Administration Concerning the Needs of Police Traffic Supervision and Traffic Engineering in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, 1958-03
Scope and Contents
This series fills eight boxes and is comprised of reports pertaining to a variety of topics in police and traffic administration authored by representatives of the Traffic Institute usually on behalf of city, county, or state governmental agencies or police departments. The reports are arranged alphabetically, first by name of the city or county and then by name of the state or province to which they relate. The reports date between 1951 and 1980 but bulk during the period 1954–1958. Many reports are undated.
The majority of the reports examine police traffic supervision in various cities and states as well as procedures used in the handling of traffic cases in traffic courts and violations bureaus. The series also includes general surveys of city, county, and state police departments.
A few reports relating to Brazilian and Canadian localities may be found in the series.
