From the Collection: This series consists of ninety-eight contact sheets printed from thousands of Ralf-Finn Hestoft's 35mm black-and-white negatives of photographs taken during 1979 and 1980 for the Daily Northwestern and the Syllabus. The photographs show students (informal photographs and portraits); faculty, staff, and administrators; campus scenes and events, athletics and speakers; and off-campus scenes.

Each sheet is numbered consecutively, with its number referring to an envelope holding the corresponding negatives. The contact sheets serve as a guide to the original negatives, which form a separate collection. Since not all negatives from particular series of photographs are represented in these contact prints, the negative file should be consulted for additional shots.
