Freshmen Photographs, Surnames: A-M

These additions are photographs of individual members of the class of 1981. The additions supplement and complete earlier accession of freshmen photographs processed as University Archives Series 75/32/2 (Accession #81-111). The photographs appeared in the booklet, "Introducing the Class of 1981," published by the Northwestern University Alumni Association for freshmen entering the University. The photographs, usually wallet-size portraits, are mounted in groups, alphabetically arranged by student surnames, on fifty-seven over-sized sheets of cardboard. A few photographs that arrived at the University too late to be alphabetically arranged are mounted at the end of the series. The cardboard sheets also are alphabetically arranged and are grouped into tow wrapped packages. A small number of photographs are missing from the additions. The Alumni Association booklet, "Introducing the Class of 1981," should be consulted as a supplement to the photographs. This booklet contains information concerning students' home addresses, their hobbies, the secondary schools from which they graduated, the Northwestern schools to which they were admitted, and their anticipated major courses of study.
