Scope and Contents
This series consists of application for admission and induction record cards for students joining the Northwestern University unit of the Student Army Training Corps (S.A.T.C.). The series fills two boxes and dates from 1918.
Application cards typically note student's name, home town, name of high school, age, and date of application to the S.A.T.C. Induction cards note student's name, military section (army or navy), and date of induction.
Completing the series are one folder of record cards mainly documenting room and board billings for students in non-S.A.T.C. but related military training programs or assignments, and one folder of record cards documenting S.A.T.C. withdrawals, individuals found physically unfit for service, aliens, and others exempted from military training.
