Minutes and Related Records, 1971

These additions to the records of the Northwestern University Medical Council span the period 1912-1976 and fill four boxes. Minutes of Medical Council meetings form the bulk of the additions. Addenda, exhibits, and correspondence associated with Medical Council comprise the rest. The records are arranged according to their original order. This is sometimes a strict chronology. Other times supporting documents filed with meeting minutes give the appearance of disrupting the chronological sequence.

These additions overlap and in some respects duplicate records found in the original portion of the series (Boxes 1 and 2). There are, however, other subtle differences between like documents, especially the minutes, even minutes reflecting the same Council meetings. More correspondence, agendas, related records, and what appear to be draft minutes will be found in the original series. Patrons interested in Medical Council activities from a given period of time or even from a specific meeting should consult both the records found in the original series and these additions.
