Scope and Contents

The Walter H. Greg papers span the years 1967-1979. Included are one folder of biographical materials, one folder of material documenting Gregg's work with the Midwest Institute of Alcohol Studies, teaching files, and publications.

Gregg's publications include the pamphlet A Boy and his Physique as well as the following reports: "Policies and Practices Related to Alcohol Abuse in Institutions of Higher *Education in Illinois," and "A Cost Effective Study and Analysis of the Glenview Public Schools Physical Education Program, K-6."

The teaching files comprise the bulk of the collection.

Abstract

The papers of Walter H. Greg (professor of health and physical education at Northwestern University) span the years 1967-1979. THe bulk of the collection consists of Greg's teaching files; included are one folder of biographical materials, one folder of material documenting Gregg's work with the Midwest Institute of Alcohol Studies, and publications.

Arrangement

The teaching files are arranged alphanumerically by course designation. Materials documenting each course are organized further by type, i.e.: syllabi, bibliographies, correspondence, notes, student outlines, and reports.

Method of Acquisition

The University Archives received the Walter Gregg papers on July 29, 1983 (Accession #83-106) from Dan Bulfin, Department of Recreational Sports.
