College of Engineering, School of Engineering and Technological Institute Record of Degrees and Honors Awarded and Faculty Rosters

This volume, spanning the years from 1910 through 1943, includes lists of recipients of degrees and honors awarded by Northwestern University's College of Engineering, School of Engineering, and Technological Institute. The lists of degrees awarded, compiled annually from 1911 through 1943, record the names of recipients of bachelor of science in engineering degrees awarded by both the College, and later, School of Engineering and also by the College of Liberal Arts. Frequently appended to these lists are College and School of Engineering faculty and staff rosters as well as statistics documenting total enrollment and degrees awarded in these schools. Notes concerning College, School, and Technological Institute degree requirements and administrative developments are scattered throughout the record.

Rosters recording the names of engineering students receiving College, School, and University honors also are included in this volume. These rosters, maintained annually, note recipients of the following honors and awards: Swift scholarship (1914/15-1915/16, 1926/27-1936/37, 1940/41-1941/42), foundation representative (1928/29, 1931/32-1936), Sigma Xi (1914/15-1915/16, 1917/18-1918/19, 1920/21, 1922/23, 1926/27-1935/36, 1940/41-1941/42), Phi Beta Kappa (1914/15-1917/18, 1920/21, 1922/23, 1926/27), Deru (1915/16, 1928/29, 1932/33-1934/35), Tau Beta and Tau Beta Pi (1929/30-1937, 1941), Phi Eta Sigma (1932), convocation honors (1931-1933), and general honors (1934/35). This volume also includes a list of names of entgineering students awarded commissions in the United States Navy and Army (1921, 1931-1934, 1936) and one of authors and titles of engineering theses completed from 1913 through 1943.
