Scope and Contents
The series consists of Louise Paullin's course notes from her science courses both at the Evanston Academy and at Northwestern. Both the Zoology and Botany notes include detailed drawings of various specimens. For some courses, lecture notes are included as well as the lab notes accompanying the drawings. Also included are the course notes, lab book and tests from the Chemistry course that Louise took after she graduated, and the course notes from the Botany class in which she assisted as a grader.

Abstract

Arrangement Note
The notes are arranged in folders by course. For each course, notes are arranged in chronological order as far as possible. Most of the notes for each course are not dated, however; these have been maintained in the original order.
Method of Acquisition
The Louise Paullin Papers were transferred to the University Archives by Teri Yoder, Evanston Historical Society, as Accession #00-220 on July 13, 2000. A small portion of the papers were separated from the NU Archives general files, as Accession #95-158 on September 25, 1995.
Separated Materials
A small amount of extraneous material was discarded.
