    This series consists of record cards documenting the World War I-era military service of Northwestern University alumni and some faculty. The cards typically record for each individual many of the following categories of information: name, Northwestern class (if applicable), dates of birth and admission to and withdrawal from school, name of parent or guardian, permanent address, war service (postings, promotions, combat duty), and military addresses.

    Arranged in one and one-half boxes, this series consists of record cards documenting the World War I-era military service of Northwestern University alumni and some faculty. The cards typically record for each individual many of the following categories of information: name, Northwestern class (if applicable), dates of birth and admission to and withdrawal from school, name of parent or guardian, permanent address, war service (postings, promotions, combat duty), and military addresses.

    Information on alumni is noted on tan cards; that on faculty on pink cards. The cards are arranged in folders alphabetically according to individuals' surnames. Faculty cards are restricted mainly to members of the Liberal Arts and Medical School faculties. Records on Medical School faculty are foldered separately at the end of the series.
