Description: Boxes 1-5

The Faculty Personnel Files comprise five boxes of material, spanning the dates 1972-1978.

Each folder contains one or more of the following items: 1. Computer printout summaries of teacher evaluations filled out by students after the courses were completed. 2. Letters by students to the Dean in praise of a faculty member or letters of formal complaint about a faculty member. 3. Letters between the faculty member and Dean Ellen Corley regarding the teacher's courses, letters of recommendation and other matters. 4. Letters of recommendation written by Dean Ellen Corley on behalf of the faculty member. 5. Resumes and course syllabi of the faculty members.

Abstract

The personnel records of the Evening Division and University College faculty fill 42 boxes and spans the period 1972-1991. Typically each file contains employment records (salary, appointment letters, course descriptions, etc.) and course evaluations.

Arrangement

The files are arranged alphabetically by the faculty member's last name.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Transferred to the University Archives by the Dean's Office of the Evening Division on April 24, 1978 (accession #78-15).
