Division of Continuing Education/Evening Division Student Records

The Division of Continuing Education/Evening Division student records fill forty four archival boxes, including one half-size box. The files were created from 1975 to 1982, but there are a few documents in the files dating back to the 1940's. The students typically attended classes in the Division of Continuing Education during the 1975-1982 period, but there are some who attended classes in earlier years. The records are arranged alphabetically.

Generally included in each file is correspondence pertaining to scholarship information, withdrawal from courses, degree requirements, academic probation and exclusion from the Evening Division. Other documents in the files include: grade evaluation request forms, grade sheets (contains the class taken and the final grade), transcripts from Northwestern and other schools attended, scholarship applications, change of grade/special grade forms (used when a student had an incomplete in a class), and degree requirement lists (lists what courses the student took, and the number of credits still needed for a degree). In some rare cases a test or term paper will also be included in the file.
