Medical Technology/Laboratory Technology Programs Students Admission Records

This series of Medical Technology/Laboratory Technology student admission records is arranged in three boxes and documents the application process and, in some cases, the academic record of students pursuing either the one year program in Laboratory Technology or the two year program in Medical Technology during the period 1931-1959.

The records are comprised of alphabetically-arranged folders on individual students admitted to the program. The type and amount of material within each folder varies from student to student. Generally, folders include admission and scholarship applications, correspondence pertaining to the student's admission to one or the other program, supporting letters of recommendation, and transcripts from colleges or universities previously attended. Occasionally, transcripts from the Medical and Laboratory Technology programs may be found in the student folders.

These records are scattered; about half the alphabet is represented.

Addition, Boxes 4-8 The addition comprises 4 and one half boxes and covers the years 1970 through 1981. The student admission folders are arranged chronologically by academic year and alphabetically within years. The folders contain various documents, as detailed in the description of the series, always including the student's application.

Addition, Box 9 The addition to the Medical Technology Program student admission records fills one box and dates from 1935 to 1970. However, the bulk of the records date from the 1950s and 1960s. The records are arranged alphabetically according to student surname. This addition is comprised of student applications to the Medical Technology Program and their Medical Technology Program transcripts. Occasionally, the earlier student records include transcripts from other schools and certificates of completion from the Medical Technology Program.
