Scope and Contents

The records of the Northwestern Community Council fill three boxes  and  contain information on the structure, organization and activities of the organization from the years 1968 through 2000. Records consist mainly of interoffice correspondence, memoranda, constitution proposals and bylaws, flyers, clippings, membership lists, minutes and agendas, and reports. Records are arranged first by category and thereafter in chronological order.

Abstract

The Northwestern Community Council (NCC), an organization of students, faculty and staff, was founded in 1969 to address the extra-curricular life of Northwestern University students on the Evanston Campus. The records document the structure, organization, and activities of the NCC between 1968 and 2000.

Arrangement

The records of Northwestern Community Council are arranged into bylaws and constitution; flyers; general; interoffice correspondence; membership lists; minutes and agendas; and reports. Materials in each group are in chronological order.

Source of Acquisition

The Northwestern Community Council records were donated by Irene Butler, VP Student Affairs' office (Accession No. 90-139)

Separated Materials

1 linear ft. of duplicate materials was discarded.
