Scope and Contents
Beginning with the 1996/97 academic year, the Course and Teacher Evaluation Council began posting the quarter-end evaluations on-line, with the result that the printed-out version comprises about one cubic foot of paper per quarter.
Course evaluations consist of two parts: the tabulated results of answers to multiple-choice questions, and summaries of essay comments.

This addition to the Course and Teacher Evaluations consists of evaluations of courses offered during the fall quarter of the 1999-2000 academic year. Evaluations are arranged numerically in order of course number.

Abstract
The Course and Teacher Evaluation Council, an administrative unit under the Office of the Provost, has compiled and published Course Descriptions and Course Evaluations of classes at Northwestern University since academic year 1971/72. The purpose of both the course descriptions and the evaluations is to provide students with details about classes and teachers at Northwestern beyond the information contained in the Course Bulletin. Course evaluations consist of two parts: the tabulated results of answers to multiple-choice questions, and summaries of essay comments. Evaluations are arranged numerically in order of course number.
