Abstract
The records of the Asian American Studies Program at Northwestern University, for the years 1993-2012.
Arrangement
The Background files, spanning the years 1993-1999, consists of six folders with materials documenting the 1995 hunger strike, correspondence between the program and other departments and universities, and other documents related to the founding of the department.
The Chronological Files, spanning the years 1995-2009, consists of 10 folders with materials documenting events and activities hosted or sponsored by the Asian American Studies Program. The materials primarily are flyers and posters, but there is also an entire folder of Daily Northwestern articles about the Asian American Studies Program.
The Course Offerings and Syllabi files, spanning the years 1999-2005, consists of two folders with materials documenting the course offerings and descriptions of courses offered by the Asian American Studies Program over its history.
The General files consist of a variety of documents, flyers and articles related to the Asian American Studies Department.
