Development Gift Records
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of eighteen post-bound gift ledgers recording gifts received by the University ca. 1850-1945. Information recorded includes the amount of individual gifts, dates the gifts were received and the intended purpose of the gifts. A single entry format is used. Volume 18 includes trial balances predominately for June 30, 1926 with subsequent additions. Information is recorded in separate accounts for each specific gift fund. The first four pages of this volume summarize the total amounts of all gifts received, December 31, 1928-June 30, 1936.

Arrangement
The information in volumes 1-17 is arranged alphabetically by donor's surname and chronologically by date of gift under each donor's account.
Method of Acquisition
These records were transferred to the University Archives by the Development Department on November 2, 1993 as Accession #93-173.
