The guides and publications fill eleven boxes and date between 1947 and 1959. The bulk of the materials date from the period 1953-1959.

The guides and publications, developed and used for Traffic Institute instruction and training courses and, in some cases, for distribution to police administrators and traffic engineers, pertain to a variety of issues in traffic and police administration, traffic patrol and investigation, and law enforcement. Included are Traffic Institute reports, bibliographies, study guides, examinations, outlines, and related materials.

Abstract

The guides and publications fill eleven boxes and date between 1947 and 1959. The bulk of the materials date from the period 1953-1959. The guides and publications, developed and used for Traffic Institute instruction and training courses and, in some cases, for distribution to police administrators and traffic engineers, pertain to a variety of issues in traffic and police administration, traffic patrol and investigation, and law enforcement. Included are Traffic Institute reports, bibliographies, study guides, examinations, outlines, and related materials.

Arrangement Note

The guides and publications are arranged in sequential order according to a number appearing on each item. The numbers correspond to the order of item issue or publication. The numbering system is roughly chronological with lower numbers representing earlier dates. The numbering, however, is based on the date of first issue; a later revision or reissue of a particular item would not change its original numerical designation.

Method of Acquisition

This series has been separated from the Traffic Institute Course Records (Accession #84-132).
