Scope and Contents
This series comprises six and one-half boxes of photographs of individual senior and graduating members of the class of 1979. The photographs are mainly three and one-half inch-by-five inch color portraits. Photographs of each member of the class, often including multiple copies of portraits as well as negatives, are contained within envelopes identified by students' names. The envelopes are arranged within boxes alphabetically by surname.
Portraits from this series appeared in the 1979 edition of the Northwestern University annual, the Syllabus (Volume 95). However, while including most, the series does not include a complete set of Syllabus portraits. Accordingly, the Syllabus should be consulted as a supplement to the series.

Method of Acquisition
The University Archives received these photographs from the Syllabus office of the Students Publishing Company.
Separated Materials
A small number of eight inch-by ten inch portraits from this series have been transferred to the Archives' Photograph Collection and filed in the Class of 1979 folder.
