North Shore College Teachers Union, Local No. 635 Membership and Financial Records

This series is comprised of membership and scattered financial records of the North Shore College Teachers Union, an affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers. The records span the period from 1939 to 1945. Included is a membership and financial ledger which records the names of Union members, their home addresses, Northwestern University departmental affiliation, and an account of dues paid by each member (see pages 1-8, 25-33, 37, and 52). The Union's cash disbursements and related financial summaries are recorded separately (pages 50-51, and 75). A few of the Union's monthly statistical reports, pertaining to membership and dues remitted to the American Federation of Teachers, as well as the local secretary's membership billing records are in separate folders.
