Abstract The University Archives holds photographs of individual freshman members of the class of 1978. The photographs appeared in the introductory booklet published by the Northwestern University Alumni Association for freshmen entering the University. The photographs, usually wallet-size, are mounted in groups, alphabetically arranged by student surnames, on forty-five fifteen inch-by-twenty-one inch sheets of cardboard.
Abstract James L. Bixby was a member of Northwestern's class of 1943, though he did not complete the requirements for a degree. He was a photographer for the Purple Parrot, a highly regarded campus humor and feature magazine, as well as the Daily Northwestern and the Syllabus. Abstract The Tod H. Francis photograph collection spans the period 1977-1983 and fills 16 boxes.
