The Nuremberg Trial Collection consists of material amassed by Charles J. Gallagher, a court reporter at the Nuremberg Trials. Charles J. Gallagher attended Northwestern University Law School (class of 1924) and worked and lived in the Chicago area. This collection consists of Gallagher's shorthand notebooks kept while serving as a court reporter for trial sessions from October, 1945 to May, 1948; some copies of printed transcripts, documents and affidavits from witnesses; Gallagher's notes and personal and official correspondence from 1945-1950; some serials connected with the trials or his stay in Nuremberg; photographs and memorabilia.
