Abstract
Papers of Chesser Campbell, publisher of the Chicago Tribune and president of the Tribune Company
Arrangement
Arrangement completed prior to receiving the collection from the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. The numbering system originally used to organize the papers is similar to that of the Business Manager files (see XI-173), and these numbers have been preserved
Custodial History
These papers were selected from boxes labeled "C. Campbell" which were sent to the Tribune Company Archives by Ann Stupur. Apparently they were corporate papers which had been in Mr. Campbell's office at the time of his death, and had been put into storage
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Received from the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, Chicago Tribune Company, and Nexstar Media Group on January 10, 2020, accession #SPEC-2020-1.
