Scope and Contents

These three positive color images on glass were originally contained in a box with the printed label "Gevalert graphic normal panchro anti-halo". According to typed labels attached to each image, they show:

  • Mrs. Joseph Medill (i.e., Katherine Patrick Medill; mother of Katharine Medill [later Katharine Medill McCormick)
  • Mrs. Robert S. McCormick (i.e., Katharine Medill McCormick; mother of Robert R. McCormick)
  • A wall of the library at Cantigny Farm (the estate of Robert R. McCormick)
