At the time of processing, these materials were in three groups: four cartons (numbered 1-4) and three smaller boxes (numbered, 5, 6 and 6), all also marked "TCA general"; a carton labeled "TCA Traum files"; and a box labeled "TCA McCutcheon files".

TCA general: The folders in the large cartons were in a generally alphabetical arrangement, with most folders placed into a number of broad categories. This arrangement was not consistent, however; folders with the same broader category designations were found in multiple places in the same box, and in more than one box. (The distinction did not appear to be chronological.) The outline of the original organization--to the extent that it could be determined--has been followed, but many folders have been shifted into their appropriate categories. The arrangement of the folders in their current boxes follows the order of folders found in the original boxes.

The original box 5 consisted of clippings marked "to be filed"; these have been incorporated into the Staff section of XI-127. The contents of both boxes labeled 6 did not appear to be in any order; these folders have been added to the structure suggested by the material in the original boxes 1-4 as seemed appropriate.

All of the "TCA general" material is now housed in boxes 1-4.

TCA McCutcheon and TCA Traum: These two containers held alphabetically-arranged folders of material similar to that in the "TCA general" boxes. This information has been inserted into the finding aid as "John T. McCutcheon files" and "Marilyn Traum files". All of this material is now housed in box 5.
