Scope and Contents

The Sharon Spencer Papers include correspondence, photographs, and writings. Of note are photographs sent to Rochelle Holt by Patti (last name unidentified) of Spencer and others, including Anaïs Nin and Hugo Guiler, dating to the 1970s-1980s. Other correspondence includes letters and postcards, primarily between Spencer and Holt. Writings include typescripts, drafts, and one offprint article by Spencer, including reviews of Holt's work and the unpublished "Gentle Revolutionaries," "Wire Rims II," and "A Cuban Diary."

Arrangement

Spencer's papers are arranged in three sections, each arranged chronologically: photographs and correspondence, Spencer's writings, and writings and collected Spencer quotes by Rochelle Holt.

The collection was donated by Rochelle Holt in 2013 (accession #2021-7).
