Abstract This series consists of individual photographs of senior members of the class of 1981. The photographs appeared in the 1981 edition of the Northwestern Syllabus (Volume 97). The photographs are wallet-size, black and white portraits. They are mounted in composite fashion on several oversized cardboard layout sheets. Each layout sheet is identified with a number corresponding to a page number (224-285) of the Syllabus.

Individual files generally include one or more of the following: applications for admission and financial aid, letters of recommendation, grade transcripts, Graduate Record Examination reports, graduate admission office evaluation forms, and pertinent correspondence. Abstract Chapin Hall was erected in 1901 on property owned by Northwestern University, with funds provided by Dr. O.K. Pearsons. Pearsons stipulated that the new dormitory at 726 University Place be put in the charge of the Women's Educational Association to house up to 60 financially disadvantaged women. This series consists chiefly of records of Chapin Hall's financial transactions from 1968 to 1975.

Abstract The records of Northwestern University's Task Force on the Undergraduate Experience fill three boxes and span the years 1983-1988, with the bulk of the material dating between 1987 and 1988. Materials include research and reports conducted prior to the formation of the Task Force, and data gathered by the focal groups, subcommittees and joint committees of the Task Force.
Abstract These records, from the period 1965-1975, include academic records, student teaching records and evaluations, notes on advisor-student meetings, qualifying exams, proposals for theses, student lesson plans and bibliographies, and correspondence. Most of the students were working towards master's or doctoral degrees. Most of the material relates to students directed by Professor Barbara M. McIntyre, although some involves Professor Anne H. Thurman.
