American Music Edition records
Manuscript scores, business records, and correspondence that reflects AME’s repertoire of new American music by Green, Carl Ruggles, Halsey Stevens, and others, as well as the interactions Green had with many key figures in twentieth-century music, including John Cage, Henry Cowell, Charles Ives, Gunther Schuller, William Grant Still, Virgil Thomson, and many others.
James Rosen Beatles Literature Collection
The James Rosen Beatles Literature Collection is an intentionally assembled collection of published materials (principally magazines and books) related to the Beatles--John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr--and contains materials published both during the group's activity and in the following years. The collection also contains some photographs and other materials.
Robert Russell Bennett papers
Mostly music manuscripts of original compositions and arrangements, the collection also includes drafts of two autobiographies, printed scores, and LPs from Bennett's collection.
Glenn Branca collection
The Glenn Branca Collection consists of the professional and personal records of experimental guitarist and composer Glenn Branca (1948-2018). The collection is arranged into 16 series, spanning 85 document boxes,14 oversize boxes, and 1909.49 gigabytes of born digital material, and dates from 1918 to 2018.
John Cage correspondence
The Cage Correspondence collection is comprised of correspondence and ephemera including letters, cards, clippings, catalogs, photographs, negatives, cassette tapes, music scores, and art. Early materials focus on family correspondence and newspaper clippings and are interspersed with Cage's own notes and manuscripts. Later correspondence is enhanced through Cage's use of "Note-o-Grams" which provides carbon copies of his sent messages.
John Cage correspondence addenda
This is correspondence that is related to John Cage but was not given to Northwestern by the composer. Letters are between Cage and the person in the folder's title unless otherwise indicated in the container list. Of particular interest are letters from John and Xenia Cage to friends in California that relate their experiences while living in Chicago in the early 1940s.
John Cage Ephemera
The John Cage Ephemera Collection is wide-ranging in scope and includes correspondence, photographs, writings, programs, scores, books, artworks, artifacts, and audio and audiovisual recordings. Most of the collection is not Cage's own work, except for materials advertising his work being performed or exhibited, and some scores, writings, performance materials, and correspondence.

John Cage scrapbooks
The John Cage Scrapbooks are comprised of 9 scrapbooks constructed by John Cage's mother, Lucretia Cage, spanning the years 1916-1954. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, programs, ticket stubs, correspondence, and a few photographs. They document Cage's early life, mostly in photographs, and his early to mid career.
Edward Clark papers
The collection contains concert programs, lecture notes, biographical materials on Edward Clark and Elisabeth Lutyens, notebooks, photographs, and a certificate of award. There are groups of materials focused on organizations with which Clark was associated, and materials related to Clark's slander lawsuit against composer Benjamin Frankel.
Marion Bard Corbett music manuscripts and papers
The Marion Bard Corbet music manuscripts consist of all known musical works of the late Marion Bard Corbett (1915-1972), a Northwestern University alumna and Chicago-area composer. Included in this collection are music manuscripts, copies and published music scores, sketches, drafts, notebooks and other papers by Corbett.
Michael Costa correspondence
The Michael Costa correspondence collection is comprised primarily of letters to nineteenth-century Italian-born British conductor and composer Michael Costa (1808-1884) covering his personal and professional life from 1846-1884 and the years following his death until 1909. The collection also includes a few contracts, receipts, documents, photographs and artefacts related to Costa.

Richard Czerwonky music manuscripts and papers
The Richard Czerwonky Music Manuscripts and Papers contains manuscript and published scores of violinist, composer and conductor Richard Czerwonky (1886-1949) as well as a small subset of personal papers, writing and ephemera. Czerwonky was a prolific Chicago-based composer and conductor of German-birth who was active in the early decades of twentieth century and an influential figure in Chicago's classical music scene.
Mario di Bonaventura papers and music scores
The Mario di Bonaventura papers and scores collection consists of correspondence, notes and other papers, programs, sound recordings, marked conducting scores, published scores and books, and music manuscript scores in di Bonaventura’s possession. A small collection of materials related to Italian composer Luciana Berio are also found within this collection.
William Ferris music manuscripts and papers
Consists of holograph, manuscript, and published scores of nearly all of the composer's musical compositions written between 1952 and 2000 as well as sketches and notebooks related to specific works.
Jerry Fuller papers and music scores
The Jerry Fuller Papers consists of music scores, programs, sound recordings, photos, clippings, correspondence, publication materials, and other concert related materials. Most of the music scores are Double bass repertoire including solo, trio, ensemble, orchestra excerpts, early music, and etudes and methods.
