Abstract
Byron Claude Mathis joined the Northwestern University faculty as assistant professor of education in 1956 and was promoted to associate professor in 1960. In 1965 he became professor of education and psychology. Mathis was also active as an administrator, serving as assistant dean, then associate dean of the Graduate School. Paul Witty came to Northwestern University in 1930 as a professor of education and director of the Psycho-Educational Clinic.
