Overview This collection consists primarily of the original typescript for Richard Wright's book Black Power. The manuscript contains corrections, additions, and deletions, including long holograph passages. Much of the material in this draft was never published, so it is significant for documenting Wright’s original intentions in recording his experiences in Ghana. On May 15, 1953 she was appointed assistant professor of voice at the School of Music at Northwestern University, where she taught mainly applied voice, phonetics and diction. She retired in 1970.
