Abstract Vance N. Kirby was an American lawyer. He entered government service as attorney in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel and was appointed Counsel in 1948 and served until 1957. He went on to practice law as a partner in Ross and O'Keefe in Chicago in 1957, the same year he joined the Northwestern University Law School faculty. The Papers of Vance N.
