Abstract
The records in this series are legal abstracts of titles for property owned by Northwestern University. The abstracts in this series provide the following information about the properties which they describe: dimensions of the plot in feet; a complete record of conveyances which includes sales, tax sales, forfeiture, special assessments, judgments against, and the names of the various owners; and in most instances a map showing the location of the property in the context of a city block.

Abstract
This series is comprised of a miscellany of records pertaining to University real estate transactions. The records were received from the Office of the University Attorney in the Spring of 1975. Boxes 1 through 7 contain: land deeds, warranty deeds (which usually enumerate deed restrictions), waivers of reversion, abstracts of title, and real estate sales contracts.
