Scope and Contents Silent, black and white film of the first International Neurological Congress held in Bern, Switzerland, in September 1931, attended by 881 people from 42 countries. The film begins in Reel 1 with American attendees aboard the steamship Lafayette from New York to Europe (including views of the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty), then shows exterior views of Bern’s Kultur-Casino—the venue for the Congress—and short clips of some of the attendees.
